Liga Suparimau Match Report: Strong Response from Emzee FC U16 as U12 Gain Valuable Experience

Emzee Football Club returned to action in the Liga Suparimau this weekend, with both our U12 and U16 teams taking to the pitch in what proved to be a day of learning, resilience, and impressive performance.

U12: A Tough Introduction to Liga Suparimau

Our U12 team played their first match of the campaign against a very physical SFDP side. Despite showing moments of composure and attempting to control the tempo of the game, the physical dominance of the opposition proved difficult to handle.

The match ended in a 5–0 defeat, but it was a valuable learning experience for the young squad as they begin their journey in competitive football. The team will look to grow stronger from this encounter, both physically and tactically, as the season progresses.

U16: Dominant Victory Secures Second Place

In contrast, our U16 team delivered an outstanding performance in their second league match against TCP Academy, bouncing back strongly after their opening match defeat to ZERO9 Academy.

The game started brightly for Emzee FC, with Syahmi opening the scoring in the 6th minute. Just six minutes later, Iqram doubled the lead with a powerful strike in the 12th minute.

TCP Academy responded with a penalty in the 18th minute, but Emzee quickly regained control as Syahmi netted his second goal in the 25th minute, giving the team a 3–1 lead at halftime.

The second half saw complete dominance from Emzee FC:

  • Abdul Hafez extended the lead in the 31st minute

  • Darwish added two quick goals in the 38th and 40th minutes

  • Haikal made it seven in the 47th minute

  • Ammar sealed the emphatic victory with the eighth goal in the 48th minute

The match ended in an impressive 8–1 win, showcasing the team’s attacking strength and determination.

League Standings and Next Challenge

This victory moves Emzee Football Club U16 into 2nd position in the league, just one point behind leaders TSSX, who will be our next opponents in what promises to be a crucial fixture.

Coach’s Remarks

Speaking after the match, U16 Head Coach, Coach Mike, emphasized the importance of continuous improvement despite the convincing win:

“There is still a lot of work ahead for us. We need to go back, review our performance, and improve on our weaknesses. At this level, it’s not just about winning titles, but about developing the players — technically, physically, mentally, and in their attitude both on and off the pitch.”

Emzee Football Club remains committed to developing young talents through both competition and structured training, ensuring every player continues to grow on and off the field.
