Why This Programme

At Emzee Football Club, we believe talent should never be limited by circumstance. This scholarship opens a real pathway for committed, hard-working boys and girls to receive quality coaching, learn life skills, and gain match experience in recognised leagues and competitions.

Who Can Apply

• Age: 13–18 (boys & girls)

• Background: B40 households, refugee communities, or orphanage/shelter homes

• Mindset: Committed, coachable, ready to work hard and maintain good discipline

• Location: Able to attend training in Johor (J Arena, Sunway Iskandar Puteri)

Fees: No training fees for selected scholars (35 places).
Diversity: Our squads include players from multiple backgrounds — Africans, Asians, Europeans — who live and study in Malaysia.

What Scholars Receive

• 3× weekly training at J Arena with qualified coaches

• Match exposure: spots in leagues & cup competitions

• Player development: technical growth, fitness, discipline, teamwork

• Progress tracking: coach feedback; shortlist opportunities for trials

• Supportive environment: safeguarding, parental/guardian communication

Selection: Competition-Style Trials

Shortlisted applicants are invited to an assessment day that feels like a mini-competition:

• Technical stations (first touch, passing, decision-making)

• Small-sided games & position-specific scenarios

• Showcase matches for final selection

Top performers are offered one of 35 scholarship places. Where appropriate, we may also recommend players or coaches for observation opportunities with other clubs (subject to host approval).

Safeguarding & Welfare

• KBS support for community engagement and youth development

• Parental/guardian/NGO consent required for trials and participation

• On-site first aid; hydration and heat protocols

• Respectful, inclusive environment—zero tolerance for discrimination or bullying

Training Venue & Schedule

• Venue: J Arena, Sunway Iskandar Puteri (Johor)

• Weekly Frequency: 3 sessions per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
