Scholarship Overview
EMZEE Football Club is committed to making structured football development accessible to talented and motivated young people, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
For the 2026/2027 season, EMZEE FC will provide 50 football training scholarships to eligible boys and girls from B40 families, refugee communities and registered orphanage homes.
The programme combines professional football coaching with competitive opportunities and character development. Scholars will train in a positive, disciplined and inclusive environment designed to help them develop as footballers and responsible young individuals.
Girls are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications and assessments will continue until all 50 scholarship places have been filled.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants should meet the following eligibility requirements:

Boys and girls aged 10–19

Promising children aged 7–9 may also be considered following an assessment

Applicants must come from a B40 household, refugee community or registered orphanage home

Applicants must demonstrate an interest in football and a willingness to learn

Beginners and experienced players may apply

Applicants must be able to attend regular training sessions

Parents or guardians must support the player’s participation and development
-
Local and international children who meet the programme’s eligibility requirements may be considered
Previous academy or competitive football experience is not required. Selection will be based on potential, attitude, commitment, discipline and suitability for the programme.
What the Scholarship Covers
Selected scholars will receive support toward participation in EMZEE FC’s structured football development programme.
Scholarship benefits may include:

More than 90% training-fee scholarship support

Structured technical, tactical and physical development

Regular player assessments and progress monitoring

Internal matches and game-based development sessions

Opportunities to participate in local competitions

Potential opportunities to participate in international competitions and football activities

Character, discipline, teamwork and leadership development

Access to a safe, positive and inclusive football environment
Competition entry, transportation, accommodation, kits and other additional expenses are not automatically included unless confirmed by EMZEE FC in writing.
Family Contribution
Selected scholars are required to contribute a subsidised fee of RM80 per month.
This contribution supports the continued delivery of the programme and helps cover a portion of its operating costs.
There is no registration fee for selected scholarship recipients.
Parents and guardians will be informed of any additional optional or competition-related costs before making a commitment.
Selection Process
Scholarships are awarded through an assessment and selection process.
The process includes:

Submission of the scholarship application

Review of the applicant’s eligibility and supporting documents

Invitation to attend a football assessment

Evaluation of the player’s potential, attitude, discipline and commitment

Parent or guardian discussion, where required

Notification of the selection outcome

Acceptance of the scholarship terms and player code of conduct
Assessments will be arranged periodically until all 50 scholarship places have been filled.
Attending an assessment does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded. All selection decisions are made by EMZEE Football Club based on eligibility, available places and the applicant’s overall assessment.
Required Documents
Parents or guardians may be asked to provide the following:

A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, passport or identification document

A copy of the parent’s or guardian’s identification document

Proof of household income or other evidence of B40 status

Refugee documentation, where applicable

A supporting letter from an orphanage, school or recognised community organisation, where applicable

A recent photograph of the applicant

Relevant medical or health information

Parent or guardian contact details

Emergency contact information

A completed scholarship application and consent form
All personal information will be handled responsibly and used only for assessment, safeguarding and programme administration.
Player Commitments
Successful applicants must agree to:

Maintain at least 90% training attendance
-
Arrive punctually and be properly prepared for training and matches
-
Show respect to coaches, teammates, opponents, parents, officials and members of the community
-
Demonstrate discipline, positive behaviour and good sportsmanship

Follow the instructions of authorised EMZEE FC coaches and officials
-
Follow all club rules, safeguarding requirements and codes of conduct
-
Take responsibility for their football and personal development
-
Avoid smoking, vaping, alcohol, drugs, violence, bullying, discrimination and racism
-
Represent EMZEE FC responsibly during training, matches, competitions and club activities
-
Inform the club promptly when illness or another valid reason prevents attendance
Scholarship places may be reviewed if a player repeatedly fails to meet the programme’s attendance, conduct or commitment requirements.
Safeguarding and Player Welfare
The safety and welfare of every player are priorities at EMZEE Football Club.
The club is committed to providing:

Protection from bullying, discrimination, harassment and abuse

Parents and guardians must provide accurate medical and emergency-contact information before a child joins the programme.
Any safeguarding or welfare concern should be reported promptly to an authorised EMZEE FC representative.
Applying for the Scholarship
Applications are now open for the 2026/2027 EMZEE FC B40 Youth Football Scholarship Programme.
Only 50 scholarship places are available. Applications and assessments will continue until every available place has been filled.
Parents, guardians, schools, orphanage homes and recognised community organisations may submit applications for eligible children.
