Emzee Football Club Shines at the Maribola Cup 2026

On 14th February 2026, Emzee Football Club proudly returned to the Maribola Cup, participating in the Under-8 (U8) and Under-10 (U10) categories. This event is an important opportunity for our young players to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience.

U10 Team's Learning Experience

While the U10 team did not meet expectations in this edition, the tournament provided essential match exposure and learning experiences that will support their long-term development. Each match is a stepping stone, helping them grow as players and as a team.

U8 Team's Remarkable Performance

The standout performance of the competition came from our U8 team, who once again demonstrated remarkable growth, consistency, and resilience. Competing against very strong opponents, the team won 5 out of 6 matches, finishing second overall and narrowly missing out on the title due to goal difference, level on points with Generic Elite.

Celebrating Our Goalkeeper

A major highlight of the tournament was the exceptional performance of our goalkeeper, Nur Humairah binti Mohd Zamzary, who was named Best Goalkeeper in the U8 category after conceding just one goal throughout the entire competition — a truly outstanding achievement. Her skills and determination were crucial to the team's success.

Teamwork and Coaching Excellence

Led by Coach Abiodun, the U8 squad showcased discipline, teamwork, and strong tactical understanding. This reflects the club’s commitment to structured grassroots development. Our coaching staff is dedicated to nurturing young talent, ensuring that every player develops not just their football skills but also important life values like teamwork and discipline.

Notably, this follows last year’s success where the same age group emerged as champions of the Maribola Cup 2026. This consistency in performance is a testament to our training programs and the dedication of our players and coaches.
