As part of its commitment to community development and youth empowerment through sports, Emzee Football Club officially launched its B40 Youth Football Development Programme in October 2025, aimed at providing structured football training opportunities to children from underprivileged and lower-income (B40) families within the Iskandar Puteri and Johor Bahru communities.

The programme was established based on a simple belief:

Every child deserves an opportunity to develop their potential regardless of financial background.

B40 Programme Objectives

The Emzee FC B40 Programme was created with the following objectives:

Provide free structured football training to deserving youth
Promote healthy and active lifestyles
Create positive social environments for young people
Develop discipline, teamwork and leadership skills
Create long-term football development pathways
Support community integration through sports

Since its launch, the programme has grown steadily and currently supports almost 50 boys and girls aged between 6 and 17 years old, who participate in three weekly training sessions conducted by Emzee FC coaches.

Holistic Development Approach

While football training remains the foundation of the programme, Emzee FC places strong emphasis on character development and personal growth. Training sessions are designed to also teach important values such as:

The club also encourages strong parent engagement, and it has been encouraging to see parents regularly attending training sessions and supporting their children’s development journey.

Inclusive Academy Environment

In line with Emzee FC’s development philosophy, players enrolled under the B40 programme are fully integrated into the academy structure and train alongside other registered players.

The club does not separate players based on financial background, but instead operates on a unified development model where all players are treated equally based on effort, discipline and commitment.

This approach helps build confidence, removes social barriers and promotes unity among young athletes.

Development Pathway and Competition Exposure

As part of the structured development pathway, Emzee FC has outlined competitive exposure opportunities for its youth teams including:

2025 Competitions

Participation in the Maribola Cup (November and December 2025)

2026 Competitions

Participation in the Liga Suparimau Youth League (starting February 2026)
Participation in the Johor Bahru Football Association (JBFA) League scheduled for April 2026

These competitions form part of the club’s long-term development model, which focuses on providing real match experience to accelerate player growth and confidence.

Selected promising players from the B40 programme may also be given opportunities to experience higher level football environments as part of Emzee FC's merit-based player development pathway.
