A Day to Remember at XPark Sunway Iskandar Puteri
What an unforgettable and exciting day for Emzee Football Club! Today, our U8 and U10 teams proudly represented us at the Maribola Cup. This competition featured 10 teams per category, divided into two challenging groups. Both teams were led by our committed coaches — Coach Abayomi Modiu (Coach Jeje) and Coach Inaolaji Abiodun (Coach Abbey).
U10 Category – A Fight to the Finish
Our U10 boys showed tremendous courage and determination throughout their group-stage battles. Despite delivering solid performances, luck was not on their side. They narrowly missed qualifying for the next round.
We are incredibly proud of their effort, discipline, and fighting spirit. They will come back stronger! 💪
U8 Category – UNBEATEN CHAMPIONS! 🥇
Our U8 players delivered a spectacular run, going UNBEATEN in all 7 matches!
Group Stage
They finished with a perfect score: ✨ 12 points out of 12 possible points ✨. They topped their group, marking the beginning of their journey to being champions.
Semi-Final
In a nail-biting match that ended in a penalty shootout, our goalkeeper made a crucial save. Our penalty takers showed great composure and skill.
Final – A Battle of Giants
The boys faced a strong side, DPRO FA, in a thrilling final that ended 1–1. Once again, the match went to penalties — and once again, our goalkeeper stepped up with another massive save! Our players converted all their penalties, securing the title:
