Emzee FC U8 and U12 Set for Liga Suparimau Season B as U16 Champions Await Johor Playoff
Emzee Football Club’s U8 and U12 teams comprising of boys from ages 10 years to 11 years old will begin their Liga Suparimau Season B campaign at Marlborough College on 13 September 2026, opening another exciting chapter for the club’s young footballers.
Their participation follows a proud achievement in June, when Emzee’s U16 team were crowned Liga Suparimau Season A champions. As the younger squads prepare for league action, the U16 team awaits the Season B champions for a playoff that will determine who represents Johor at the U16 National Finals later this year.
For Emzee, the coming months bring both the excitement of a new season and the possibility of stepping onto the national stage.
Liga Suparimau Season B: A season to learn, compete and grow
The U8 and U12 competitions offer valuable opportunities for players to bring their training into a match environment. Facing different opponents means learning to make decisions, find space, communicate and respond when a game becomes challenging.
For the U8 players, there is plenty to discover: the courage to ask for the ball, the enjoyment of playing with teammates and the confidence to try again after a mistake.
For the U12 squad, the season offers opportunities to develop greater understanding of how to work together—when to pass, how to support a teammate and how to stay composed under pressure.
Results will be part of the experience, alongside progress that a league table cannot fully capture. A player becoming more confident on the ball or learning to encourage a struggling teammate is also taking an important step.
June’s champions provide inspiration
Emzee’s U16 Season A championship remains a special moment for the club. It gives the U8 and U12 players an achievement to celebrate and older teammates to look up to as they begin their own campaigns.
The younger squads have their own journeys ahead. The aim is to give them room to learn, enjoy competition and develop pride in the way they play and treat others.

U16 turn their attention to the national pathway
Having secured the Season A title in June, Emzee’s U16 team now awaits the eventual Season B champions.
The two teams will meet in a state playoff, with the winner earning the right to represent Johor at the Liga Suparimau U16 National Finals. Emzee therefore has another significant challenge ahead before a place at nationals can be secured.
