Stan Collymore praises Chelsea's transfer plans while highlighting Arsenals problems.

Arsenal don't have the "bottle" to mix with the Premier League's top teams, and could end up losing some of their big players as a result. That's the opinion of Stan Collymore, who believes any young player with the chance to choose his next club should pick Chelsea over the Gunners due to their transfer strategy and have been warned over the upcoming summer transfer window.

Arsenal are expected to target cheap players in the upcoming summer transfer window.

They have been linked with Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey, who will likely cost £44million, but could end up losing players at the same time.

Club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is out of contract in a year's time, and he has been tipped to snub a new deal in favour of a move away.

The Gabonese ace has been linked with a £25m move elsewhere, with Barcelona and Chelsea both tentatively linked with the 31-year-old.

The Gabonese ace has been linked with a £25m move elsewhere, with Barcelona and Chelsea both tentatively linked with the 31-year-old. And Collymore believes that losing their big names would be a disastrous scenario for the Gunners, who are fighting for a place in next year's Champions League.

He also explained that Chelsea are a much more attractive opportunity for any young player due to their transfer policy. The Blues have been active ahead of the transfer window, and have already splashed out on multiple big names. They have already signed Hakim Ziyech for £37.5m, while they have reportedly agreed to pay £53m for Timo Werner and have been tipped to buy Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell.

Writing in his column for the Mirror, Collymore was full of praise for the way the Blues have conducted their transfer business ahead of the upcoming window.

"I’ve been very critical of Arsenal over the last decade or so because they have allowed themselves to become the bridesmaid and never the bride," he wrote.

"They’re a big club, they have a great stadium and play fantastic football, but they no longer have the bottle to mix it with the really big boys.

"Add in an ability to hemorrhage their best players and the message that would send out could be potentially disastrous.
