Manchester United told to pay £80m for Aston Villa ace

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is known to be a big fan of Grealish, the Villa midfielder, who has emerged as one of Manchester United's top targets over the past year.

Solskjaer wants to strengthen his Red Devils squad with young, English talents, and Grealish’s standout performances in the Premier League have caught the eye.

He’s been Villa’s key player this term and one of the best performers outside the top six, though Villa are still in the relegation places despite Grealish’s fine form.

A summer transfer has been expected – all the more so if Villa are relegated back to the Championship – and the Daily Mail claim Villa have told the Red Devils to pay £80m for their captain.

Villa have still not given up hope of keeping Grealish, however, even if they return to the second tier after only a single season back in the top-flight.

Dean Smith’s side kick-off the resumed Premier League campaign this evening, hosting Sheffield United at Villa Park in a 6pm encounter.

This fixture is their game in hand and a win will move Villa up to 16th in the Premier League table ahead of the first full gameweek getting under way on Friday.
