'£50m-rated' England international on Leicester City's transfer radar.

It is known that Leicester City and Crystal Palace are keen on Burnley defender James Tarkowski, according to reports.

City have renewed their interest in Tarkowski after being priced out of a move for the England international last summer, says the Daily Mirror.

The Mirror claims City saw the 27-year-old as a replacement for Harry Maguire, who joined Manchester United, but Burnley warded them off by slapping a prohibitive £50m price tag on the player.

The report adds that Tarkowski is on City's summer hitlist of defensive targets along with Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake and Southampton’s Jannik Vestergaard. Tarkowski's contract at Burnley runs to the summer of 2022 and he is an important member of Sean Dyche’s side.

The player has played 31 times for the Clarets this season and has made 134 appearances since signing in 2016.
